カントウアオオサムシ
Carabus insulicola kantoensis
アオオサムシの、関東地方平野部において多摩川を境にした東側の広い地域に見られる亜種がカントウアオオサムシです。オサムシは飛べないものが多いことから、地理的隔離が起きやすく、それに伴い種分化が進むため亜種が多いです。正直ここら辺の分類群は詳しくないので、基亜種との形態差は？とか他亜種との分布域境目にいるのは？とか訊かれてもわかりません。私に言えることは、メタリックグリーンが綺麗だねってことです。そういえば冬のこの時期はオサ堀りが盛んみたいですね。これは春の麗らかな日に撮りました。オサムシは自然光で撮るのが一番写りいいなと思います。陽に当たってキラキラ輝く様が非常に美しいです。
Carabus insulicola kantoensis is a subspecies of Green Carabid Beetle (Carabus insulicola) that is seen in the wide area of the east side bordering the Tama river in the Kanto region plain part. Because many species of Carabid beetles cannot fly, geographical isolation tends to occur, and species differentiation progresses accordingly, so many subspecies are appearing. Carabus insulicola has many color variations, but this time it is a picture of an orthodox green color individual. Metallic green that shines in sun light is very beautiful.
