ナミエガエル
Limnonectes namiyei
沖縄島の北部である、やんばる固有のカエルです。水域依存度が高く、水場で多く確認されます。そして、忍者蛙なんて呼ばれるほど擬態が上手いです。大型になるカエルなのですが、転石帯では見事に石ころにカムフラージュしていて本当にわかりません。ジャンプ力も強く、一瞬で目の前から消えたりします。地味に見えて、魅力のある種だと思います。
Limnonectes namiyei is a frog endemic to northern Okinawa Island. It is protected by Japanese law, so capture is illegal. Mimicry of this species is amazing enough to be called a Ninja frog. It is difficult to notice when they are camouflaging at stones. And the jumping power is strong, they disappears somewhere in a moment.
